Amsterdam

Of course we found some great windmills, it was particularly easy as we had a country train trip from the airport for an hour or so. No charge for getting on the wrong train. Didn't know we would find Goliath here.......David was still the winner- I'm in the pic with him!

And yes the clogs are still about.

Love the poster and it is true smoke as much weed as you like but no Cigarettes, damages health of staff! Housing is amazing.......this is the narrowest in Amsterdam, width of a door, all have sloping frontage and a hook for pulley to bring things in to avoid narrow stairs.......I remember someone with a forklift to solve that. Clever Dutch.

A walking tour was a good thing for our 2nd day of rain in the whole tour! Was very interesting.

Canadian tour guide knew his stuff and had high recommendations as to where to return to for further adventures..........coffee high on the scale.

Monuments too, of course some very interesting............being the cultural types we went for that below as well as most of the day at the van Gogh museum- that was after Katrina's favorite of the Anne Frank house. Strange window shopping here, K not as keen as most places!
